Pinhole Camera 1st Update

To start constructing my pinhole camera, I grabbed a cookie dough box that I had just finished using. I cleaned it out and started painting the interior and exterior in matte black paint. To make sure it was fully coated and that absolutely no light would get in, I wrapped the entire exterior in black duct tape. After that last step, I felt it was ready to be a camera.

Here is the final outcome:

Since I have finished making the pinhole camera, I have been continuing to think a lot about what I want to shoot and how to do it. I have been struggling to find the right amount of time to expose it for and I am just a little intimidated to get started actually shooting, because I am not very confident about the process. Nevertheless, I am continuing to do more research and will start shooting tomorrow. I am planning on getting some great photos overlooking the dock and the water and hopefully some great oak trees. I will most likely shoot a lot of the same subject with different exposure times for each one to make sure I get at least one correct exposure.

In the meantime, I have been looking at more photos for inspiration and I thought I should share those as well. These photos give off this dreamy and peaceful look that I am going for in this project:
