Now as we are finishing up the pinhole project, we have made our way into a whole new way of making photos: Lumen Printing! I am so excited to change things up a bit and get to challenge my creativity. Although, I have already had a bit of a rocky start. I had to order more paper that is taking a while to come in, and I also realized the rest of the week will be rainy, which makes this particular project difficult to accomplish. But in the meantime, I have been doing a lot of research and have been receiving a lot of inspiration for when I do get to actually start working on it.
My goal for this project is to make very distinctive abstract prints. While doing research for inspiration, I noticed how alike all of the lumen prints were that I was looking at. The majority were just of a couple of leaves or a flower. Here are a few examples of some prints I was seeing:

This is not at all a bad thing, and these are phenomenal prints, but I wanted to come up with something that I am not used to seeing. As I dug a little deeper, I found a couple prints that really stood out to me.

I just love these so much, because I cannot really tell what they are, but they are so visually interesting. I know it would be difficult to create something as amazing as these, but this is just my inspiration! I want to use a wide variety of organic matter, not just flowers, and create something that is so rich in texture and movement. I am really looking forward to seeing what I can create!
