Lumen Print 2nd Update

Today was the perfect day to get started on the lumen prints! There was not a cloud in the sky for the whole day, so I knew I could get a good bit done. I set a table outside and spread out a wide variety of organic materials, such as lemons, leaves, flowers, coffee grounds, mushrooms, carrots and oils. I thought the different types of oils I used would have some sort of reaction, but it did not look like it did anything.



This project is a little bit harder than I thought it would be, because it is more difficult to make a nice looking pattern on the paper. When I took the paper out of the box and started adding materials to it, the paper started reacting way faster than I thought it would, which made me want to hurry. Because I had to hurry, I did not feel like I was making my subject interesting at all. Nevertheless, today was just the first day and I think I am going to get a better feel for it tomorrow. I still have in my head what I am going for, so now I need to spend more time trying to accomplish that. I also think I need to leave the paper in the sun for another hour or so tomorrow.
